　　兄弟倆在葡萄園里，坐在濕潤的地上，螞蟻在他們腳下搬運鳥兒嘴里失落落上去的碎葡萄。正值三伏天，赤日炎炎。哈維爾看著藍天，他發明了一朵龜形云，這是方圓幾公里獨一能看到的一朵云。
　　“看見了嗎？”哈維爾問薩姆埃爾。薩姆埃爾嘴里嘬著一根發黃的麥秸，正用軍用水壺里的水把胳膊撩濕。
　　“看到什么？”薩姆埃爾一邊答覆一邊把水壺里最后幾滴水灑到臉上。
　　“那朵云。”哈維爾指著云。“是龜形的。”
　　薩姆埃爾仰開端向上看，昂首之際把涼帽朝下壓讓帽檐遮住似火烈日。一看到那朵龜形云，他臉上便顯露了淺笑。
　　“像祖母的那只烏龜。你還記得。“說著他便看著兄弟。
　　“怎么會忘失落那只老綠龜呢，它的硬殼和尖銳的牙齒。你包養網 記得我想摸摸它的嘴，反被它咬嗎？讓我大發雷霆！”
